It is a gamble, no doubt, but that's why it's exciting.
It might not work, but it might.
we can make it a bit less of a gamble by retaining a core of experienced players - skuse, chambers, bart, ... and i'd include knudsen.

It is. The unanswered question is whether it’s premature excitement or not. Lose the first five and things will be very different! (Not that I think that will happen).
How long do you reckon he’s got to make a mark? What are we looking for? What will success look like?

If I go to a casino say with £20, I go in a bit cautious. Sure, a bit of fun - but there's a reasonable chance I will end up losing.
Like with these players - especially the ones we sign so late in the day.
Are they going to be good enough for a step up / how long will it take them to adjust?
I'm pleased with the signings - however a little concerned this strategy seems our only one.
As an outsider, if you sign just L1/L2 players......... you know?!
If we take our Ipswich hat off for a second, and have a good consider - look what other clubs have done this summer interms of transfers, I'm far from as excited as many a fan.
Hopeful, but that's all it can be.

But average L1 / L2 players dont cost a million quid do they.
The ones we are chasing are the high end of that market so should be able to step up.
