Strangely enough I can see us putting in better performances against these 'superior' teams as we will have to raise our game just like Exeter and Rotherham did with us. His second season saw us only lose 1 league match at Portman Road, but only pick up 3 away wins. 1 more away win would have seen us make the play-offs that season.
I feel that if this season does get going, it will mirror Jim’s first season where surprising victories were mirrored by grizzly or annoying defeats. Jim had to wait till his 5th league match (and lost in the first round of the League Cup on penalties too) before recording his first win, so Hurst still has time. Feck it, if he breaks his duck in his 7th match and beats Norwich, the pressure will reduce by about 50%. [Post edited 14 Aug 2018 23:52]
