He did put himself in a position that his actions were questioned, so I do sort of agree with the OP. But he is innocent of the charge raised against him.

He was found not guilty of the specific offence of Affray. That doesn't mean he didn't get very drunk (judging by what he himself says he consumed) and end up involved in a fight (as seen on video). Still idiotic and potentially bringing the game into disrepute.
