Brunswick and Alexandra are both close to the station and not far from the stadium. Great pubs if you like real ale!

Food wise, it's next to a retail park so there'll be all sorts there.

That's a fair point.

One to avoid.

Lived here for over 6 years and still never been. I keep meaning to change that. Always end up having a pre match beer with the locals

Last time I visited was the night of Varney’s smash and grab and that was a similar time of year, the Harvester between the station and stadium was accommodating and had a good beer garden. Prior to that I tried one of the hotel bars and it was rubbish (but Edwards scored last minute to make up for it).

I remember going to a pub called The Navigation , about ten mins from the ground free street parking nearby and a beer garden.
Had sky sports and the home fans in one bar and the away fans in the the other.

Anyone know if that's still an option?

Enjoy!

I always find it has one of the better atmospheres and possible to get some home/away banter going which isn't always the case.

Yes the navigation is still an option. It is on London road just over the bridge from pride park. A pub made famous by Mick Philpott singing karaoke in it days after burning his kids alive

They made the decision to have forced moves and designate the old away end to the noisy home fans, it has worked well.

Almost as if they want there to be an atmosphere in their stadium....?!
