No idea if there is a label for that and I don't really care. Any tips board vegans?
I'm going to aim for 90% of my calories from vegan friendly foods to begin with and might go further eventually. Going to stick to 2000 calories a day so that gives me only 200 calories from animal foods maximum. Most days I see it being 0%.
Why post this here? This site has plenty of vegans and I can't be bothered to sign up to a new forum.
I'm not doing this for ethical reasons so I won't be preaching at anyone. Please respect the spirit of the thread. If it becomes vegans vs meat eaters I will ask for it to be deleted as that isn't my intention. Please hide the thread if you don't want to see it as I do with cricket, jazz and many other threads without making a drama of it.
If anyone thinks this is attention seeking please take the logical step and ignore the thread!

If you can afford £250 use Suma wholefood coop and get it delivered at 'cost to shop' prices. You can even buy individual items rather than bulk......frozen, chilled the lot.

I won't be buying any animal products. I do already have some which I don't want to just throw out which is why i've set it at 90%. I do have an unopened pack of bacon from Waitrose but i'll give it away. | |

Not really. I'm not at all convinced eating decent quality animal products is bad for you.
Mainly because I think i'll enjoy it. Partly for the experiment to see how I feel. | |

I wen't vegan 18 years ago. There wasn't as much choice in terms of vegan foods as there are nowadays. All the supermarkets have jumped on the bandwagon, so there are plenty of vegan options on the shelves at affordable prices.
The vegan cheeses are getting better. I prefer the coconut milk based varieties.
There are tons of non dairy milks to choose from. The soya milk from Lidl is as good as any, and half the price of the leading brands.
If you miss eggs, you can try scrambled tofu. There are loads of recipes online, and I would recommend ones with Nutritional Yeast (Nooch)

Cheers mate. Soy milk always makes my throat go tight. I love Koko coconut milk though. I'll definitely get some of that. Tried hemp milk a while ago. Still haven't forgiven chrisswailes for that recommendation. | |

It’s made the world of difference to me on board.
The food is awful as per usual, so a Huel at 1130 before I start my second watch of the day keeps me going and at only 500 calories it has been surprisingly filling. | |
