Life is Strange 1 got fantastic reviews. I imagine the second will be similar.
Though Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out, and a new expansion for World of Warcraft just came out so doubt I’ll invest much time into it at all. |  |

Life is Strange is very good. Don't expect any action of course - it's more story rich where choices matter.

Am I right in thinking there's a new 'ELITE' game that's just come out?
Never really been one for strategy games, Lemmings/Worms aside.
I used to play the old school Elite at a friends house on a BBC Micro 30 odd years ago.

Never really been one for strategy games, Lemmings/Worms aside.
I used to play the old school Elite at a friends house on a BBC Micro 30 odd years ago.
Think this new version is all singing & dancing - a vast change to the basic one of old. |

The graphic design of the new game that happened to catch my eye was like something from Halo.....and Elite was NEVER like Halo!

When they released it a few years back it was a bit empty. There wasn't a lot to do other than trade (which was dull) or shoot pirates.
Since then they've released a "season pass" which to be fair has been pretty decent. They've been trying to keep it alive.
Which is more than I can say than the people doing Star Citizen, which is being headed up by the guy who made Wing Commander. You can buy ship packs for that which cost $27,000. And the game is not even out yet. | |

Yeah, that's the tightrope. A visually sparse game can always be saved by the playability/gameplay.
Saying that, I know a few gaming nerds that would happily play a Spreadsheet SIM game.
Managed to get my Xbox One back up & running after a year without it. I only really play FIFA17 online & I'm slowly getting sucked into the Seasons Mode. Yo-yo-ing between Level 2/Level 1.
One game which I might invest in, would be the 'new' Bomberman. Loved it on the Gameboy & I had it on the PS2. It's all about the multiplayer mode. 8 players at once. | | | |

..ha, it depends how you play however you have a point, in the olden days it was a bit cleaner.
However if your starting point was Elite then Eve is where you should end up - NMS, SC are all to pretty.
