Yes, it was really good, talking about getting the players in a group and asking them to open up to things that have happened in their lives, losing friends etc, players in tears who have never spoken about things that they've probably kept inside for years, bonding the players to become friends...enjoyed listening to him.. Strangely later that evening, Ray Parlour was talking on The Debate on Sky, he was saying how important it is for the players to be mates and like one another because on the pitch you'll be far more inclined to help out a mate if he's struggling than someone you don't like where you'd just let him have a bad game.. | |
