I'm with Bloots here, I don't think it will be overturned. The FA will deem it excessive force and thus the ref was right (and I'll moan about Bannon's challenge only being a booking again). |  |

Was it really excessive force. The ball had gone a fair distance before the Wednesday player decided to go flying through the air. Seen a lot worse over the weekend that were not punished even with a yellow.
If tackling hard is going to be outlawed in the game we might as well all go home. The game is now being playing by a bunch of softies!

I don't think its a foul, let alone a red card but I'm not expecting the FA to see it that way; it's only a foul because of Forestieri jumping into the challenge late and pretending to have been shot.
Nsiala does have a problem with going into challenges hard and he'll be harshly penalised for it again this season. [Post edited 27 Aug 2018 10:55]

I’m not a massive fan of Chambers but his distribution was actually much better, I thought, on saturday.

I increasingly fear this. In fact I am wondering whether we will even appeal... although, in this case, there would be no harm. It couldn’t be viewed a frivolous appeal given the video going round.
So we’re left with Woolfenden or whoever we sign (Tilt, hopefully).
I’m increasingly wondering how secure Bart’s position is though. He was at least partly responsible for both goals on Saturday, and 2/3 more this season already. We talk about undroppable players, but if Chambers had made mistakes leading to 4/5 goals, he’d be out of the team. [Post edited 27 Aug 2018 11:40]
