I think Edun looks better than Chalobah imo.

I like Chalobah but have concerns, Hurst is putting a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, which is a gamble. Hopefully Hurst has got it right.
He does play quite loose and is making errors there is no doubt. But he does a lot of things very well, and has energy - which is the key - and has scored. I bet a lot of teams find him a real handful.
I think the 4-2-3-1 works with him as the out and out holding midfielder and then with a better playmaker alongside him, who he can pass to quickly. I'm hoping this will be Dozzell when he is fully fit (totally respect the time being taken with Dozzell and his injury).
Ipswich need that creative playmaker.... or just someone who can get on the ball and ping it around or just grab the game. I like Bannan at Sheff Weds for example.
I see Huws more challenging Nolan for a place.
Shame Nydam has gone out, but again you've got to trust the manager so early on. He clearly feels he's not match hardened and needs to go out. Or perhaps is not a winger, and cannot currently challenge Nolan. |  |

I wasn’t convinced after the Blackburn game and he was full of errors that day.
I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s miles better that Nydam tbh, I would have preferred to see Skuse offering his advice to Tristan and then seeing more experience used up front. |  | | |

...4-1-4-1, then Skuse is a more sensible choice to play the holding role. (in my opinion)
Which then doesn't really leave a position for him.
If we are playing 2 holding midfielders than perhaps he is more likely to get a game.
But either way having watched him play CB for the England kids he doesn't look like he particularly enjoys defending. |  |

Have to agree with this. Positionaly Skuse is better, offers better protection at this current time. Chalobah is flashier on the ball. |  | | |
