Carabao Cup 22:56 - Aug 28 with 1769 viewsJimmyJazz

Anyone notice how most teams weren't too bothered about tonight's games, as in not playing a full strength team? Is anyone seriously still concerned that we didn't progress in this cup?

Not the fact we lost, or who we lost to, but just the fact that we didn't win another cup game in round 1

Time for the EFL cup to be scrapped. Any competition where they have a draw and think oh well fook it, lets just have penalties isn't worth bothering with.

It needs a major shake up or just scrap it altogether.

fans didn't have much interest either judging from some the vids of goals shown on Sky. In some you just didn't see any fans at all.

All changes in the next round when the big boys join. you have to be in it to win it and if you get beyond third round can be a money earner.

surprised midtable prem teams don't go for it with strong teams - it's their best chance of winning something. Wannabes like Newcastle and West Ham should be all over the league cup

Agree but the top 5/6 have such deep squads they can coast the quarter finals without even playing first choice players.

Indeed, one of the top 4 usually wins it anyway, only taking it seriously at semi final stage

The monetary return for winning it probably doesn't equal that of the PL prize money for finishing a place higher in the table.

Scrap it. Umpteen teams made 11 changes for last night's games. No country needs TWO domestic cups.
