Sounds stupid, but would he necessarily play? Just having him around the training ground, in the dressing room on match days etc, surely the squad as a whole could do with that sort of experience?

I don't see that he'd have a problem. He may need to rely on the younger legs around at times, but his experience would be invaluable in a transitional team. | | | |
