Any tips?

We have a TP Link one upstairs. Has meant we can watch stuff on the iPad when having a bath, it’s really helped with the signal strength.

Use your ring main as a wired network with cheeky plugs like this

Use them to run my desktop and music streamer.

I should add that our wi-fi covers the entire house and garden, so I can sit in the summer house to listen to music/watch films or TV.

If the rolling acres of Factual Palace are covered, then I'm not sure why you've got a problem.

Your router is probably sub standard, especially if its one given to you by your isp, you would be better off buying a Draytek 2860 series, about £150

I have the same issue as the OP, because of the layout of our property. TP Link worked for me

They can work well but need the rooms to be on the same circuit, they can also produce some nasty interference.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Got them in my house, have them straight in the plug, then multi tap off the back of them.
can't fault them at all

Mine doesn't. I have a bt homehub, I've tried changing it but it is hopeless

I've got 2 powerlines to extend the network but it messes up the chromecast and the Sonos all of the time

I despair with it

Most versions of Windows provide a facility whereby a 'spare' PC/Laptop can be set up as a link/booster.

Particularly useful in internet cafes etc.if you want to pick up other users' logins and passwords.

I bought this one a while back as my sister was going mental as the WiFi kepy dropping out for her. Our house is pretty long (router is in my room at the front of the house) and I can now watch the iPad in the garden at the back if I want. I just turn it on if I need it. Turn it off it I don't Simples.
