First of all, fantastic to seem him back / playing well. Been a massive loss for tennis the past 10 years, a great ball striker in Del Potro missing so much tennis. As for right up there with the big 4, absolutely no chance. Not defensively good enough, good enough mover, good at closing out sets. Sure, he'd have won more than one slam - I would say maybe 3-5. Great ball striker, massive forehand. Somewhat like Moya / Gonzalez however better. Maybe like Wawrinka interms of power, but I don't think he'd have won many more than that. Hope he beats Novak though - not that I dislike Novak, just be great for Del Potro to win! | |
