There was a time these stories appeared frequently and very rarely led to administration.

A number of clubs in this league could be seen as being in financial trouble. It is rare that leads to a points penalty.

Our best thing is to start converting performances into points. I have very little fear we will be in any great trouble come Easter.

Something to do with the EFL wanting to give a points penalty (and a potentially hefty one) for signing a player while under a transfer embargo.

If it doesn't happen rather makes the embargo meaningless.

Garner ended up at Wigan (think they blew Bolton out of the water with a bid).

Bolton were bankrolled for years, to the tune of almost £200m, by owner Eddie Davies. He wrote off most of the debts when the club was acquired by Dean Holdsworth's Sports Shield consortium in 2016. However, they still owed money to a finance company, Blue Marble, who are demanding repayment.

Incredible they could be deducted 12 points in September and only be 4 points behind us!

I suspect both Bolton and Brum will get off very lightly . No professional football club appears to be held accountable for their dodgy business actions anymore. They’ll find a loop hole - they always do.

24% a year. Ouch.

Anyone on Twitter not following that account really should be, he's good. Pointed out yesterday that the Edwards' fee seems to be £600k (plus some add ons presumably).

Surprisingly, there hasn't been an administration from a FL club since Aldershot & Coventry City in 2013. I guess the greater riches in the PL plus attempts at FFP & salary caps in the FL have helped.
Bolton clearly need to pay off the £5m due to Blue Marble, but does anyone want to fund that plus ongoing liabilities - they still haven't really recovered from the absence of Eddie Davies, but I still think they may avoid admin.
