I used to think it was boring old peoples music when I was a kid and he used to play at PR but now I am rather excited. Never seen him live. Am I in for a treat?

I have but we ended up on an all day session which carried on at the concert. After a while I thought we'd better go our seats and watch, before we got that far it all finished. He was brilliant but u was hammered and a long way back at the bars. Tickets were a fortune as well
Managed to see Elton 8 years at a smaller town venue in Florida. He was on stage with the guy that looked like father christmas with long white hair and beard, Leon Russell who has since passed away. Excellent concert and so glad I've seen them live.

His voice is not what it used to be but he is very good at adapting the song to a lower key, he always put on a great show so that should be the same, but he will not be hitting those great high notes on Crocodile Rock (and a good many others) like he did in the past. You are guaranteed to be disappointed on the set list as he has recorded so many great songs he could not possibly sing all your favourites. Enjoy.
Yeah, I've seen him twice, once at the Royal Albert Hall and once at Colchester, both were great gigs, nothing will compare to David Gilmour live though.
Saw him at PR several years ago and again at Hyde Park a 2 years ago. There was definitely a difference with his voice but no matter, he is a great showman and gave a great energetic performance. Hope you had fun.
