It's looked after me, is still looking after me, all my life and I am still climbing mountains at 63. I've been to sixty countries now and there is nothing to compare with the across the board treatment that the people of Britain get.

Coming back from a gig* in Cardiff, we bumped into him at an M4 service station at about 4 in the morning. He was good fun.

They used to film Lovejoy in Melford, we used to hang about watching them film on the main street as kids. He'd always say hello to us. I used to sell Lovejoy autographs at school.
