Mine to. I was there exactly behind the line of the shot, the hardest shot I have ever witnessed. A memory that I have and will always cherish.

One of his last games for Town. I never saw him play live but still recall watching on TV as 6 months later he walked off at Villa Park never to play again. RIP Kevin.

It was a feckin' scorcher, as was the one he scored against WBA in the 7-0 which I think will always be my favourite Town game.
It was a tragedy that he suffered so many injuries and missed so many games at a time when the medical treatment for players was so arcane in comparison to the modern game.
The best player I've ever seen in an Ipswich shirt. A privilege to have witnessed his ability on sadly too few occasions.

Same one Snr text me about this afternoon. That'd be on the opening credits of a football show for years these days.

My favourite too. And likewise, we stood in the corner terrace between the north stand and west stand, so watched it from behind the shot. Fantastic goal.

I was a kid then and had only been going 3/4 years, the period when injuries had begun to bite, I’d seen him a few times, but he hadn’t played much in the previous year or two before this match. The thought that Beat was on the bench was so exciting and when he came on and did that... wow.

One of my strongest, early memories at Portman Road.
