Professionalism is important but I'd rather our squad was just better in quality. The conspiracy theories are irrelevant, as is blind happy clapping. We don't know what's going on inside the club but we're bottom and look pretty meek. That needs to change. | |

As I said, forget whether you liked MM or not, it was pretty much accepted the players would run through a brick wall for him. I just find PH dull and uninspiring. I’d love to be a fly on the wall and watch him get the players ‘up’ for the game. I watch him on the sidelines and he just looks lost. Anyone else agree? |  | | |

I like what he says generally, but I would say he likes a waffle. He seems to enjoy taking a methodical approach, and this reflect his demeanor on the touchline as you refer to. I wouldn't say lost, but it's just a different way to how Mick and Terry, for example, were always very animated and vocal, almost coaching the players through the entire game minute by minute.
His honestly the other night was refreshing in explaining his thought processing and admitting he got it wrong first half but also that was a process of trying different things, which is commendable in a way. [Post edited 20 Sep 2018 13:07]

He's very likely methodical by nature, as his career progress and especially his course in journalism might suggest. Having both run with the hare and hunted with the hounds I feel you can see him pondering his answers in order to express his processes, but also sheer away from any controversy he sees coming.
