Nydam on the bench for St Johnstone 14:57 - Sep 23 with 1935 viewsBiGDonnie

Brilliant. Absolutely shocking to send him to that pub league to sit on the bench. He must be gutted.

No problem with him having to play his way in, it's how things should be and he's only been there five minutes, but you're right in the sense that this *needs* to be a good loan for him and not a c8ck-up now that he's gone out. Let's hope he starts getting minutes in the next month or so.

Everyone’s talking about him as this massive prospect who were really missing this season. Last season he wasn’t exceptional. He was decent but were not talking about this massively talented youngster that tore up the league last season and we’ve now just allowed him out on loan.

The fact he’s not walked into that side perhaps tells the story...

Quite, Morris can't get a kick at Forest Green either. Maybe some of our much talked about youngsters are not actually quite as good as some people think they are.

Think it's more to do with an inherent lack of trust in youngsters within English football. It is getting worse.

As I put on another thread: '... during the period when we relied on youth midfielders in September and October last season, we lost six out of the nine matches. Likewise, during Klug's tenure, the only team we were able to beat was the desperately fragile Reading.

'... we don't know that Emmanuel is better than Donacien. Woolfenden has only played 130 minutes of senior League football, compared with the skill and experience of Pennington. Dozzell is still returning from a long-term injury. Downes is regularly involved. Nydam is an 18-year-old who has only once played a full 90 minutes in the League.'

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

It's not a lack of trust in youngsters.

More the overiding need for instant results in football.

We are talking about a massively talented youngster though, and not only that but one who has more Championship experience than almost all of our midfield.

It was a bad decision to loan him out.

Does the latter not bring about the former? They're absolutely, inextricably linked.

He has now entered the fray, replacing our former midfielder Liam Craig.

Personally, I think he’s better than both Edun and Chalobah.

Is that because they're loans?

Messi has no championship experience but I reckon he'd be alright.

Chalobah and Edun are probably premier league players for a reason.
