I wonder if Hurst will look at these? Still plenty of names out there.

Hard to know what our budget allows, but here's a link:

You'd think players would drop their demands at this stage.

Would you trust Hurst to commit more money to bring in a 13th player? And, if/when he doesn't work out, how long before the 14th; and 15th?

We’ve got too many as it is. As I mentioned on another thread, sometimes you need to have a decision made for you. This could be one of those times. PH can focus on developing his plan A strike force now.

Don’t think we want to be adding any more players to the current squad.

Adding too many players hasn’t worked yet, don’t think adding more will help...

The question is would ME commit any more money to PH? He's got such value for money so far, I doubt it.

We can Ill afford to not sign a striker. Whether any of them out there are any good remains to be seen.

Any chance we might see Ben Morris back? He's had one of our strikers only attempts on goal this season lol.

Probably won't be a popular opinion but Anichebe could be the target man we are severely lacking. He's not prolific but if he could bring others into play more it might be for the greater good of the team. A different option at least

Karim Ansarifard, couldn't believe he was a free agent. Then I realised he was at Olympiacos, scored 18 in 34 there. Obviously Olympiacos and Forest are owned by the same man, they just terminate the contract at one and sign him as a free agent, allows players to move outside of the window.

In 2009 I think he was selected by World Soccer as one of the best young talents in the world alongside Javier Hernandez and Jack Wilshere, and then in 2012 was selected by FIFA as the 48th best goalscorer in the world. FUN FACTS.

If I was playing Football Manager with that list, as Hurst clearly is, then I would offer trials to the following:

Mamadou Touré Thiam

Tomislav Kis - croatian international

Emmanuel Mayuka - one of the best players ever to come out of Zimbabwe, was at southampton between 2013-15

Cedric Gondo - Ivory Coast / italian nationality - just gone on trial at St Mirren, was a fiorentina youngster - get it done Hurst!!!

David Browne - english / papuanew guinea nationality with caps for PNG who last played for FC Groningen in netherlands - get it done Hurst! Also named after a tractor brand, this guy is made for us!!

Gael Etock - cameroonian who came through the barcelona academy - get it done Hurst

Its ok you dont have to thank me for my extensive research Mr Hurst, just get it done!!

the plan A strike force has yield 1 goal...………….and they don't seem to be that impressive. Unfortunately not enough quality at this level at this time. I definitely think we need a senior striker to help them which Walters is.

Darren bent, is he the answer? Probably not. He seems more focused on his media stuff. I see Leon Best is a free agent (but injured)…………….

I'm not sure the current strike force is too poor because I've barely seen them have any chances. Not saying they are blameless by any means. We've not been making the most of our half chances, but the final balls have generally been poor. Too many attempted crosses blocked, not making the most of the corners we get from them, no real idea what to do on the edge of the area. I'm still hoping this will get better as we go. And I hope it's soon.

Lacina Traore would be a nice signing too, although I don't think he would come to us, Simeon Jackson a bit more likely!
