Apparently peaceful protest can now get you sent to prison on 18:58 - Oct 1 by WeWereZombies | I think Jamaica had a few issues before marijuana was de-crimalised, as usual you are mis-firing. You could also point out that Jamaica has more churches per head of population than any other nation, I guess you would probably deduce that drugs drive people to religion from that. |
It is worth doing some research on the subject. There is a lot of evidence to support the clains that drugs were not a problem until Reagan persuaded Thatcher otherwise making the stuff VERY valuable then everyone wants in to get rich

I'm not going to delve into the pros and cons of medical marijuana in this thread, which is about protesting after all, other than to say I was surprised at how many clinics dispensing it there were when I was in Vancouver a couple of years ago. My earlier points were that de-crimalised status seems to have taken additive riddled skunk more or less off the market and this makes the ganga widely used less potent and unlikely to cause physical addiction (although users like the effects so keep on using). The other obvious benefit is that policing efforts can be concentrated upon serious crime.

Apparently the family business of the orginal trial judge supplies the oil industry. The defendants may seek to have the original verdict overturned given this industry connection.

This was the vested interest I thought it best to keep as quiet as poss about pre-appeal (it ended up on the net anyway, but that obviously didn't damage their case).

Unlikely to get overturned though isn't it given this judge thought they deserved a sentence but the one given was too harsh. That's two judges that feel a crime was committed. SB

Its business is offshore supplies. Centrica has confirmed it is in its supply chain. So it is a matter of record rather than an allegation.
