VK: Vietnamese Restaurant in Ipswich 08:11 - Sep 30 with 1284 views | Swailsey | I went for the first time last night - absolutely amazing. Fresh food, ridiculously extensive menu, excellent customer service and deep fried ice cream!! It’s near the Library in the centre of town. [Post edited 30 Sep 2018 8:12]

Baipo is miles better than Kwan for Thai stuff. Will be giving VK a look though.

100%. Kwan Thai is better suited to those who like Chinese food with a slight Thai influence. After visiting Thailand myself the contrast was stark. A few people I know have been to VK and have likened it to the Kwan Thai of Vietnamese cuisine. Lacking in authenticity.

Hasn’t Baipo been shut for sometime now?

Yep, the previous owner had cancer. Then eventually sold up, went down hill pretty quickly after that. Was amazing in its prime.

Ah, that's a shame. Clearly I'd not eaten there in a while, but it was very good.
