Jackson 08:18 - Oct 3 with 1435 views | JimmyJazz | Is he really much better than Nouble? Can see a run in the team for Sears forthcoming

Jackson on 08:20 - Oct 3 with 1427 views | lazyblue | Biggest concern is that PH said he took him off for fatigue so early in the season, I just read that as he has no confidence in him at this level.
Jackson on 09:01 - Oct 3 with 1372 views | Guthrum | We simply don't know. He is so badly isolated playing up top by himself that success is well-nigh impossible. With the best will in the world, he can't get the ball forward, beat organised defenders, put the ball in the box and get on the end of it all on his own. If defences are not leaving the space in behind, there isn't the room to put the ball there with any hope of him catching up with it.

Jackson on 09:04 - Oct 3 with 1356 views | JimmyJazz | Fairly sure Flint called him an amateur in the first half. He would have been better coming on as a sub for the second half when we got a few crosses in the box

Jackson on 09:09 - Oct 3 with 1330 views | SomethingBlue | Not fair. I like Jackson, there's a player in there definitely, but he needs help and there is now no chance of him getting any til Christmas. Thought there was some promise in the idea of having Walters there with him, evidenced a bit against Norwich; now we'll never know and the lad is in for a tough few months, he needs support.

Jackson on 09:11 - Oct 3 with 1315 views | Harry_Palmer | He is better than Nouble but that's not to say he is good enough to really cut it in the Championship. Of course playing him up front on his own and hoofing does not really help to showcase his talents. He should have stayed on last night of the second half with sears along side him. Nolan and Skuse were so ineffective that neither would have been missed.

Absolutely this. He has shown flashes of ability, eg in setting up the first goal at Brum. To judge him as a striker at this level, we need to see have some chances made for him. Patently this has not happened. He definitely needs a st rike partner. Our options appear to be Sears, Ellison or one of the youngsters.

Or the poor bloke's been running himself into the ground to create chances from crumbs, with nothing to give any encouragement. He certainly chases hard, but has nothing much to work with.

Jackson on 11:24 - Oct 3 with 1191 views | The_Last_Baron | He could turn out to be a decent player, but needs time and support. Would have been better for him to have a season to settle in without the pressure of playing in a terrible team.

Jackson on 11:26 - Oct 3 with 1182 views | Cuffy81 | Harsh, he's never played at this level abs he's being asked to play upfront by himself with no support. Alan Shearer in his pomp would not score goals in this team, we create very little
Jackson on 11:27 - Oct 3 with 1174 views | Reuser_is_God | Yes, there is definitely a player in Jackson.

We were desperate for someone alongside Jackson and Sears was the obvious candidate but instead of having them both playing together Hurst decided to take off Jackson. No wonder Jackson is tired, he has played most games on his own up front having to run around like a headless chicken chasing the ball being hoofed over his head!
