Immense. Was a fantastic lone striker performance, always a threat, but also dropped into midfield to help out , made teh first goal, scored the second. Great first touch. Delighted for him.

Sounded like that apart from wasting 2 golden chances he did everything right. Hopefully he's getting back to how he was when he first joined.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Great to hear. Gets dogs abuse on here often because he plays for team not himself and so his stats (certainly scoring record dont flatter his actual performances). Always gives 100% and has proven before he's above average at this level. Good champ player. Delighted for him! Probably the best forward on our books right now as unpopular as that is. Kayden has potential to surpass him of course as done Harrison potentially but right now i think he might just be our best option.

I think Sears is one of those players who likes to know he is loved. If he plays regularly as a striker, I believe we’ll all see his confidence grow. Thought he worked tirelessly on Tuesday night against Boro, pleased he has had another good game to follow that performance up.

You give him 5 games, with Dozzell threading the passes, his finishing will come along, needs to get rid of the rust. Probably hasn't played 5/10 games back to back in about 12 months.

yep, Dozzell made some delicious passes, and not just in the first 10 minutes. made such a difference to Nolan who works hard but is a bit too predictable. With Dozza, you never know where the ball is going until he slots it, and Freddie has a good touch to keep on the end of the pass. It bodes well.

Although he didn't get his name on the scoresheet, that second goal happened because he was in the right place at the right time.

Totally agree with all these posts. PH badly needs to stick to a settled side now, one that can win matches even when it doesn't deserve to do so!

Although I feel for Jackson here. That early chance for Freddie, Jackson would've been away and the centre back wouldn't have been close.

Better passes and crucially more numbers forward are the answer and today we delivered.

The fact that he was not even been making the bench until recently has been bewildering

OK he had a poor last season but has at least shown some decent form at this level

The fact that Hurst was favouring other less proven players and only brought Freddie in when all else failed does not reflect well on the Manager

Played out of position for two seasons by MM and ignored by Hurst until today.

Freddy saved Hursts bacon today and no mistake. Hopefully Hurst has the humility to realise that!

Pleased he played well, and hopefully he will now get a decent run in the team.
Played out of position by MM and he got so much unfair criticism on here in the past for someone who even when not playing well, always gives 100% on the pitch.
Well done Freddie.
