IF PH does go, who realistically can we attract to replace him? 10:59 - Oct 21 with 8996 views | ITFCBlues | Warburton? Is he really any good? Not really done it anywhere other than you could say Rangers? Poyet wouldn’t come here. He’d want money to spend which will just never happen. Who else is there?

IF PH does go, who realistically can we attract to replace him? on 11:09 - Oct 21 with 5668 views | ronnyblue | George Burley as director of football with Nash and Hogg as manager/coach ! They are in place, they know what is available, have a good record and know what is required plus they are Ipswich! Should have been the way to go when Mccarthy went !

IF PH does go, who realistically can we attract to replace him? on 11:29 - Oct 21 with 5592 views | Northern_Blue81 | We need to employ someone who knows what they have to work with from the off and have an understanding of the players, the club and the infrastructure. Burley, Klug etc will be the choice to get us out of the bottom three initially, then look at someone else if we stay up. Pointless bringing in an outside name who gets there and says the players are not up to the job, we know this already and will push us further back. Or... More bizarre model, go down with Hurst, re build team and club. Hurst at league one has much better form, he knows the league and would learn from his mistakes.

We'll be relegated whoever is in charge with the team Hurst built. Sorry, but they just aren't up to the job.

Bringing in someone who knows what he is dealing with and can hit the ground running from the off is the only chance we have of staying up. They need to know the quality of the players and where the pit falls lie from training session 1. If we bring in an external manager then it will take them 8 - 12 games to know the players etc and by then we will be really struggling if we lose the majority of those games up to the new year.

IF PH does go, who realistically can we attract to replace him? on 15:36 - Oct 21 with 5260 views | Dennyx4 | I guess you would be looking at Managers that have managed at this level before and are not currently in a job. Holloway, Warburton, Calvahal, Jackett, Lambert, Bruce, Pardew, Coleman or Grayson. Some of the above would be interested, others less so, but there are options out there.

Thanks, was speaking to a Wolves fan the other day, and he credits Jackett for getting them out of the mess they were in, after relegation to League 1. Looks like he knows that level very well.

MM didn't. A quality experienced manager would stand a good chance.

Not sure if you know this but quality experienced managers will want a big salary and a transfer budget, we don't do the latter.
