I think Evans might be in the process of selling up.

Who on earth is going to want to buy us?

Who would ever want to buy any football club?

The potential price right now must be better than it would have been for some considerable time. If an owner came in with money and a direction for the club they could get a bargain. However, why would any new owner bring any greater success than the current one? Also, would they bring any other agenda and further problems?

Would be concerning that whoever would be interested in buying us would clearly be lacking in sanity.

Massive debt, dilapidated stadium, below average other facilities, lack of saleable assets and low income alongside low ticket sales / attendances. On top of that, add in the fact that we don't hold any massive sponsorship deals and the one's we do with MEG will likely leave with Evans, and the only reason to buy us would be if Evans was willing to write of ALL The debt, and sell the club for free. Even then, the buyer would have to have been hit in the head.

Depends. For some multi billionaire they could do a lot worse. The stadium needs a bit of money spent on it but we have a lot going for us. It only seems that we don't because of the crippling lack of investment. Many of our problems would be lessened dramatically with money pumped in. We just need someone with enough of it that they can take the chance of losing hundreds of millions for fun.

Truly impaired.

True. The other positive argument is if you're looking for an investment you'd want to buy us at our lowest ebb, for the best chance of making some money. To be fair, that might require us to go down to League One.

'Not looking to sell, but come and get it'. Yeah, it did seem a bit like that.

I've no ill will against Marcus at all. I'm sure he wants this initiative/investment/hobby (delete as relevant) to be a success. He's not deliberately fecking up. But he's really struggled to make the right calls or put a team in place that can make the right calls on his behalf. Clegg, Keane, PJ, the drawn out saga of Mick. Complete feck ups as decisions. Looks like he's got another one wrong now. And then come out and say that the scale of PH's changes "surprised" him is just ludicrous. Who signed off these changes? Who's actually in charge here?

I wouldn't be surprised if he has entertained offers over the past 3-4 years, project FFP and the 5 point plan had their good intentions, but essentially it was a cost cutting excersise to make the bottom line look more appealing.
