What we needed 09:25 - Oct 26 with 363 viewssotd78

And what we will get?

We need now someone who will lift the fans and the players. Someone who can get a backs to the wall mentality going. A feeling we can all together get ourselves out of a hole. So a manager who is loyal. Who likes or loves the club or at the least the area.
It does not need a mercenary journeyman manager who has already ratted on virtually every club he has ever managed.

I’ll accept and support any appointment but for each one my tolerance time shortens.

Roll on Lambert Out? At least he’ll probably jump rather than need pushing.

"Lifting the fans" or "loving the club" are almost irrelevant.

The only way to do the former is by gaining success on the pitch. Without that, the hollow reverence for, say, a club legend will evaporate as quickly as it did for Magilton when things went sour.

I'd rather have someone who can understand the club, its situation and what it needs now than someone with pure sentimental affection for the place who doesn't.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
