one ex town player, still playing league football, who would you pick to help us out of our predicament?

I would go for Daryl Murphy, he can hold the ball up, score goals, run the channels and he is a huge presence at set pieces, both attacking and defending the ball.

Marriott

Or Tom Lawrence (if he counts)

The weaker of the berra Smith partnership but far more dominant than anything we have presently

I'd like Wickham to be honest, physical presence and threat up top who would actually make the opposition think. At the moment we have no threat for them to worry about giving them far more freedom.

What's he up to at Palace?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Sums up ITFC’s approach to business...letting a 27 year old central defender with over 250 Championship appearances leave to go to Chicago because it was such an “exciting opportunity” for Tommy.

At least he would show some passion for the club and the supporters would love him. Get Wolfie or Pennington playing beside him, it would make us more mobile at the back.

a fit David Mcgoldrick, sets up goals and can score. We aren't creating anything let alone scoring any!

Wow. Can't believe people aren't seeing that defence is the massive problem we have. Having a a decent striker with no one to supply him or a playmaker with no one around them on the same wavelength as good to us as a tree in a forest fire. Decent defense not only prevents goals but can help score some also. Our current goals tally if it stays like this as a team will be less than Smith and berra combined most seasons as a pairing.

Another vote for Berra.
He was a rock for us, one of the best defenders we’ve had in years.

Agree. We haven't had a decent left back since he was here. Knudsen asside from scoring against Norwich is not good enough. I would play a fit Kenlock ahead of him all day long, Mings however, what a player he was for us, terrific find by Mr Osman.
