Raab absolutely typifies.... 12:08 - Nov 18 with 7867 views | Herbivore | ....both the arrogance and ignorance that characterises Tory Brexiteers. Not only did he not realise that the Dover-Calais crossing is vital to the UK economy, today he has come out and said that what was lacking in negotiations was simply political will, suggesting that if we'd just tried a bit harder we'd have walked away with a cracking bespoke deal that delivers on the Brexit pipedream. Then there's this chestnut: "I do think there is a point at which - we probably should have done it before - were we just to say 'I'm sorry this is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, we cannot accept those dictated terms'." It seems he never has and still doesn't grasp what a complex thing Brexit is. The fact that many Brexiteers think May simply hasn't tried hard enough, whilst totally failing to offer anything themselves when given the chance, is quite staggering. They still don't get it. They still believe in the pipedream even when they've been intimately involved in the process and had to run away because it got too hard. The whole thing is a total, total shambles.

I agree with you 100%, but for some reason the Corbyn zealots can't see it.

To me, he comes across as completely malleable and likely to change with the wind if it keeps him at the forefront of his party and just about on the right side. So, yes, future leader.

Come across well? Have you not seen him speaking out against human rights legislation and the existence of economic and social rights? He's a typical entitled bellend, the kind that is rife in the Tory party.

Do your own due diligence, it was widely reported when he became Brexit Secretary along with clips of the source material. It should be easy to find.

May botched the Home Secretary job and then has effectively lied about her position on Brexit. That's what got her the gig as PM. And such is the nature of our system and the main parties, that's the only sort of CV that'll be considered.

Have you asked yourself why it is a poisoned chalice? Whoever is Brexit Minister has an impossible task because there is no 'good' Brexit. There is 'bad' Brexit where we remain pretty well within the Single Market but have no say in market regulations or there is 'disastrous' Brexit where we leave with no deal. Whoever is Brexit Minister is on a hiding to nothing.

Did you type that first sentence and manage to keep a straight face? Corbyn went on holiday in the middle of referendum campaign and Alan Johnson has stated that his office staff consistently undermined the Remain campaign. He refused to attend a key Remain campaign launch and also attacked government ministers for publicising the Remain case, saying they should also have promoted arguments in favour of Leave vote. https://www.newsweek.com/brexit-eu-remain-campaigners-attack-jeremy-corbyn-47491 I see this morning he has said he doesn't know how he will vote if there is a second referendum.
