MY match day companions are looking for a new haunt and whilst we like the new Falcon, they've got a no u18's rule presently which therefore excludes Beard Jnr. New landlord said he was getting his licence changed to allow kids but this hadn't been done before the last home game. |  |

I heard about this months ago, and walked down Lloyds Avenue the other day but doesn't look even close to being ready
EDIT - the new and improved Halberd Inn will be open in a few weeks after another excellent refurbishment......is looking good in there in the main [Post edited 19 Nov 2018 10:39]

Last time I was in there I had a Groundhog Day moment, I put my car in for a clean and had a pint whilst waiting, I then got the taste and parked the car up away from the valeting area thinking I would get it in the morning so I had a few more beers!
Next morning I realised I had parked under one of those trees that drops tonnes of sap so had to get it cleaned again.
And so it went on................... | |

Yeah Mick is well gone, a new guy there - we re-furbed the drinking side but no works done to the function room side bar a lick of paint the landlord did himself.
The car wash is gone also - and they have planning to put some houses in there now as they own a big chunk of land bhind the car wash area to the right | |
