Would anyone be open to a Connor Wickham return in January?

Poll: Is Lambert the right man for the job?

Yes. Half season loan would help him return to form and fitness after long injury lay off and quality signing for us. Assuming he is fit enough and not another Walters scenario.

Yes please! He'd be exactly the type of signing we'd need. Match fit, he'd be a huge asset for the team and our survival hopes.

I cant think of a single reason why anyone would not be open to it!!

Imagine what Lambert would get out of him.

Yes he'd be exactly what we need providing Palace only want a percentage of his wages and we can send him back if he picks up an injury!

Definitely.

Lambert likes a target man and he would be perfect.

Not sure how realistic it is though, imagine we’d be outbid by other championship clubs if he was available.

Please name a realistic alternative!? Granted his injury issues the past two years could be an issue.

Worth a pop.

I don't care who it is as long as it's someone with proven experience who can and will score goals regularly at this level.

He's been injured for about 3 years and is on £40k a week, I'm not convinced it'd be a good idea. It'd be a very, very expensive gamble.

I think he's on closer to £60k ( not having a pop just highlighting the £££ ) and agree with you re injuries.

£££ not a concern this time in that if we go down, surely it'll cost us a lot more to get back or could!? Evans is surely going to have to fund a decent amount in January.

I'm struggling to think of a better option than this / realistic but agree his fitness could be a major issue.

Torn on this!!! Heart yes head no........!

If we are well adrift, he’ll invest next to nothing it’s not worth losing more money with the inevitable relegation staring us in the face. If that proves the case, I’d let PL start building a new side from that point forth and start clearing out some of the deadwood and blooding a few youngsters.

Given he's been injured for nearly two years, yes.

Depends if he’s 100% fit and more importantly match ready. If not, then no thanks. We need players who can play 90 minutes immediately.

Yes but on basis if he breaks down payment ends. Much too risky otherwise!
