First game I've seen under Lambert and can't say tonight was much different to under Hurst. Best period, 20 mins after half time. Poor first half, long balls, couldn't keep possession. Late goal too little too late, from a defensive mistake. Poor set pieces. WBA far too good, didn't get out of 2nd gear

Lambert gotta pull a miracle out of somewhere...

Reading was a better performance, but West Brom are so much better. The gulf really showed.

I’ll be more worried if Bristol City Rock up on Wednesday and have it that easy...

It was better than under Hurst, the players looked like they knew what they should be doing. First half we weren't great but limited them, second half we were decent. Maintain that second half level and we will be fine.

They were certainly a better side, but they've lost to Bolton, Wigan and Hull this season so it's not like they are untouchable if you put in a great performance.

The second half was better, but it was men against boys in the first half. We just played endless long balls up to Roberts who worked tirelessly against their giant centre backs it was very one dimensional with little adaption to our play. This season without doubt is going to be a struggle to avoid relegation even with PL’s input.

We’ve lost to Hull and couldn’t score against 10 man Bolton for an hour. We’re probably worse than them in that case...

Against one of the better sides, with a manager less than a month into the job.

Games against the likes of West Brom will not define our season. They have some serious players in their squad. Gayle and Barry on the bench. Livermore an England international! Some serious talent in their squad. Judge us against Bristol City at home!!

Wouldn’t waste your time responding Arnie, he’ll do his customary down vote.....oh, what a surprise!!! Just pathetic really, but shows what you’re dealing with and the level of intelligence!! 😉

Agreed. West Brom were fitter, braver, quicker and stronger all over the park. Other than the first half tonight, Lambert has installed a confidence, a belief and the start of a good system of organised passing football though. The lion share of the fan base are fully behind it. We'll survive but it's going to be a very cold winter!
