Relegation to League One is not football's equivalent of a trip to Dignitas. 16:59 - Nov 24 with 1067 viewsBluedandy

The apocalyptic pessimism that once in League One the club will effectively die or at best morph into Rochdale is quite ludicrous.

No-one wants to go down but if the worst happens there's no reason we can't bounce back straight away. In fact, if Lambert stays, then it's highly likely that would happen.

For crying out loud it's League One - have you actually seen how small the clubs are down there?

And we're still just six points from safety so it might not happen anyway.

Exactly and what will be will be. We can only deal with what’s in front of us. We have to stop acting like we are too big to be down the bottom and start fighting with the team.

Yes but it will stop us achieving err what we’ve been achieving in the championship for the last 17 years

So how small do we become when down there? Sunderland scraped a draw with Walsall today.

Accrington are the only side (just) in the top ten that weren't stalwarts of the top two divisions for years until relegation.

We just become another one if we go down.

My feelings were if we ever got relegated we wouldn't bounce straight back, but PL seems to have a different mentality to past managers, early days yes, but if he stays I'd be pretty confident albeit a long road it would be a quick return,
