If anyone thinks any of this is Lambert’s fault 22:42 - Nov 28 with 1720 viewsclive_baker

Then you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Stick to Christmas shopping on a Saturday afternoon and do us all a favour.

Spence, Knudsen, Roberts - not anything like being good enough for this standard of football I’m afraid. Probably 1 or 2 more in all honesty.

Hurst has an awful lot to answer for.

Agreed.

Agree with all that bar Jonas. His mistakes came when the only player who could get a foot on the ball was Skuse. He recovered fairly well, I thought Mills' 10/10 at half time was a bit much, but still.

Indeed, as I mentioned elsewhere in a moment of clarity... Mick brought in players to battle and be effective while OUT of possession and carry attackers to score odd goals such as Celina, Didsy, Waghorn. Hurst contrived to SELL all our BEST players attacking and defensive, replace with lower league then belittle our Polish goalkeeper. Lambert tries to have the remainders play ON THE GROUND but they are a mix of BATTLERS and LEAGUE ONE players who cannot do so effectively enough to defend and maintain possession and get a win.

No not entirely his fault but he has selected the teams knowing their weaknesses and expecting things to change. Talking the talk does not raise the ability of a player and our players are lacking that in abundance. If you select those players you are as cuplible as the players that keep making the mistakes.
He said that him self.

There aren't an awful lot of alternatives for him to pick. Just the returning injured and the kids. This probably is our best squad at the moment.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Completely agree. The squad is simply not good enough. Having Lambert here at least gives us the semblance of a chance of stringing something together at some point in the season but unfortunately it appears that the damage has already been done.

I wouldn’t knock the players effort but a fair proportion of them are not up to this.

Is anyone saying it is?

Hurst does have a lot to answer for but so does Evans!

Agree fully with your original headline, but Spence and Knudsen are as much to do with Hurst as Roberts is to do with Robson.

He did bring in those defenders who were supposed to replace the current sub-standard lot. Unfortunately everyone who he did sign are not even good enough to make most squads.
