Ikechi Anya
Alex Pearce
Jacob Butterfield
George Thorne
Nick Blackman
Chris Martin

Would take Alex Pearce. Proper experienced central defender, would imagine could get him for a snip price with his contract over in the summer.

I wouldn't say no to Jacob Butterfield either to be honest, give the youngsters more opportunity to rotate, especially with Skuse in the shlt

There may of course be a reason why they are out of favour.

Can we swap some of our 'out of favour' players?

When it comes to Derby with the glut of players they have, most of those who are out of favour would walk into another team within the division.

Anya has played right back both for club and country. As a winger he's going to be decent going forward, however, I've no idea what he's like defensively.

Blackman was good at Reading before going to Derby and getting little game time

Derby's transfer strategy is two-fold really

1. Strengthen your own team
2. Failing that, keep other teams from having access to players you sign and then stick out to pasture with your annual manager switch.

I like Butterfield as well, very good player at Huddersfield before he got the move to Derby. George Thorne was a fantastic player for West Brom, really surprised he has been frozen out.

Anya, Butterfield, Thorne, Pearce are all top top championship players.

Being out of favour at Derby would probably mean regular starters for 50% of other Championship teams.

Given the wages Derby play it seems slightly insane to think we represent a possible destination for any of their players.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Was Butterfield at Norwich when Lambert was?

Think he signed the summer Lambert left, but he may well have been a Lambert signing

Would be good for us but feel we have other areas that take priority over CM.

Evans out

Thorne did his cruciate and I don't think he ever got back to what he could of been. Decent player though.

Anya is from the town down the road from me. Quite a few mutual friends. There's a slim chance that I might see him over Christmas as it's a mutual friends birthday which we've both been to before. If I see him I'll ask!

We aint gonna get out of this hole on the cheap.

We are going to have to spend some serious cash on loans if we want them in.

The only thing in our favour is we are zero threat to the teams at the top of the league so they might lend us some players in the hope we take points of their rivals. That said it's all dependent on whether we satisfy their financial demands and the player actually fancies a relegation battle.

Blackman is out on loan in Spain at the minute, IIRC.

Butter field has been on loan from Derby a couple of times and been rather rubbish. He seems to have totally stagnated at Derby as I agree he was decent a while ago

Not good defensively in my view.

Surely we'd loan them so only had to pay part of wages. It would be a question of how many we could take on unless we got rid of those that PL doesn't want.
