His year in charge seems like a success compared to recent events here!

Has he already said that he has learnt from his mistakes and has a long term plan?

Useless tub of lard. The damage he did at Town was staggering.

You spelt 'relatively little by comparison to the dark lord Keane and the self-important cretin that is mini Roy' .....wrong.

There have been loads of debates about before and everyone has his/her own opinion.

Jewell was a sweet arselicker who would say what media and fans wanted to hear.

I don't think he was that strategic tbh. From what I know of him he was just an affable old lag inclined to say whatever popped into his head on a given day. He was like the friendly old PE teacher who bought his 6 formers pints down the pub.

Are the club owners about to back him with millions?

I think he just had a load of old presser clichés that he liked to roll out on rotation. He wasn't a patch on Roy in that way.

"Jewell will oversee the club's recruitment"

That's Swindon f*cked then. Every woefully past it 30+ journeyman free agent in the country will be rubbing their hands with glee

Do you reckon we could falsify a few birth certificates and get him to pay over the odds for a few of our current squad?

It's tempting. If Jonny Douglas is still a free agent we should sign him quickly, Jewell would no doubt table a bid of close to a million for him in January, intending to build a team around him, whilst insisting the manager play him on the left wing

If he's really lucky, he'll find himself at the front of the queue of clubs lining up to sign Scumbag Bowyer.

Paul Jewell was pretty baffling in his last season - releasing Delaney and even Bullard to bring in the crap he did, a ton on loan, playing Murphy as a wide midfielder (just think about that now, no wonder the poor cnt struggled to score, we may have wasted some of his best years having him on the wing) - his only real success here was Cresswell and to a lesser extent, Chambers.

It's time to make the best of it.

In fairness Murphy did a good job on the wing. His best years were clearly 2014/15. A lot of fans thought he was a donkey before he started scoring.

Jewell wasn't the first manager to play Murphy on the wing. I think that was MM at Sunderland. I remember Murphy complaining that he was played wide left just because he 'is left footed and can cross a ball'.

Truly impaired.
