It was a good save, certainly one of those - as good as scoring a goal - saves.

The save itself wasn't particularly spectacular but given the circumstances it was a great save.

Perhaps the scousers are over praising it because they aren't used to their goalkeepers making saves.. e.g. Karius or Mignolet

What you have to pay attention to is how he extended his frame to narrow the angles, perhaps the dive was fortunate in the direction he went, but there was a lot more than fluke going on in that save for sure.

It was decent to be sure but I was expecting Gordon Banks level of heroics.

It saved them being knocked out so it's a good save for reasons other than it being a good save if that makes sense?! Haha!

It was a good block, but you have to remember the context if Liverpool had drawn last night they'd be in the Europa League draw instead of the knock-out phase of the Champion's League. Top keepers make important saves at crucial times and that's exactly what Allison did. It's no surprise that suddenly Liverpool are a side with the best defence in the Premier League now they have a top keeper behind their back 4!!

Or they have an adequate defence that seems impregnable because of their upbeat style of play based on defending high up the pitch and making their attack seem so fearsome that opponents daren't attack them as much as they used too. If Town had Trent-Alexander he would be on loan at Luton.

Possibly, but it's mainly the same personnel in defence as last season in front of Allison. That's what a top keeper brings to a side. It's not that he can make crucial saves at those key times, but gives an air of confidence to those in front of him and they know they have someone dependable between the sticks, which they haven't had over recent seasons.

The really bonkers thing was Klopp saying yesterday he "would have paid double" to secure Allison's services. That's for a player who cost £67m.
Even allowing for Klopp getting caught up in the hyperbole of emotion.
