Team Sky saying Bye Bye 13:39 - Dec 12 with 1134 viewswkj

Could the glory days of British Cycling be coming to an end? Seems Sky are pulling out next year, which is odd considering the lucrative 5 year contract just given to Egan Bernal in October

Have they run out of steroids to take then?

Pronouns: He/Him/His. "Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

There is nothing bad about any wheels of the sky juggernaut coming off.

Let team sky be the first of many.

It's down to the fact that Sky is now owned by Comcast, who clearly don't think the huge expense of running Team Sky makes commercial sense.

Pro cycling teams don't tend to have a long shelf life - Team Sky is unusual in that it's been a homogenous team for 9 years without additional major partners. Also, European grand tour cycling still isn't that big in the US, possibly Lance Armstrong having something to do with that. And many other pro teams will be more than happy to hoover up riders and tech specialists from Sky once they shut down. It could actually be good for cycling as we could see more teams competing for grand tour wins

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

Might turn out to be an oppertune time to disapear, before too many cans of worms get opened.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
