That was a lot of money in 1991 though and I got a round of applause when they announced it in the Coral bookmakers in Sudbury.
I’ve managed it again 3 times since but I do it as a Yankee these days because getting three out of four is a killer. |  |

Yeah they chuck in some shockers. The other night, flash odds on Man City scoring more than 3 goals v Leicester, rubbish.

I used to do my mum and dad's pools. On a pools panel day I got 22 and a half points and first dividend was paid out on 23. Would have been a six figure jackpot. We still got a few hundred which wasn't bad for 12 and a half p

I've had a lot of big price winners on NFL as I like to stake £10 per game and split it over loads of these request a bet type bets. Also had some truly unlucky ones as well where a flag has cost me a big win or i've needed a certain player to score a TD and virtually everyone else on the offence has scored but he hasn't. A flag in the Patriots game the other day when they had got to the one yard line might have cost me a Develin TD and a big win. |  |

As a 15yr old I put £5 on us to beat Norwich 5-1 at 100/1. That was the 5-0 game - I was in the North stand enjoying the greatest game I’d ever seen and found myself willing Norwich to score in the final moments. Looking back I’m so glad they didn’t score because I bet I would’ve jumped up which wouldn’t have gone down too well.

Wigan away a couple years ago (that really foggy one) got into the ground and 5 of us went in on a 10 fold accumulator, £1 each. Odds were 1044.6/1.
We agreed to go 2 games each, all 3 o'clock kick offs. Apart from my brother who went for Brighton to beat Birmingham not realising it was a 5:30pm kick off. Got to the pub by the station after the match and one of us started going through the bet. All 9 of the 3 0'clocks came in.
Was on the train back catching up with the result. Brum went 1-0 up. That's that screwed then. Then checked later and it went to 1-1. Half a chance maybe. Glenn Murray scores last kick (head) of the game and Brighton win 2-1 and we win £5223.

The Grand National horse I put up on here at 14/1 was a 4-figure return for me, as I said before the race. I was on him from 40/1 all the way down to 14/1.
Had a few multiples do well at big odds. 4 or a 7 horse super Heinz won last year. The 4-Fold for that was about 400/1 which was a good day.
