I don’t know, I can see where Mick was coming from. Our success that season was built on Murphy and a fairly remarkable team spirit rather than us being a particularly good team. I understand why he might have been reluctant to jeopardise that by bringing in several new faces, especially as everything was so rosy at the time.

I can Evans point after having his fingers burnt by the previous 3 but surely after getting into the playoffs , as an owner , you'd think that you would , 'hello, this bloke knows what he's doing, here's a bigger budget.' At best we stagnated after that. | | | |
