Four Lions Dead Mans Shoes
Four Lions - I'll give you that, and can tell you a funny story about it. I first watched that with semi frequent Twtd poster Unbelievablue in his student digs in Leeds. We found ourselves in a unique set of circumstances which is probably too 18rated for the forum, but decided it was best to stream 4 Lions on the internet. It had Swedish subtitles, and about half way through the film Unbelievablue said "who the f***** watching this with Swedish subtitles?". Also- the whole film was shot in Sheffield, including the London marathon scenes which are easily recognisable to anybody familiar with Sheffield.
Dead Man Shoes- I kind of agree but also think it is quite rightly considered a masterpiece amongst British film, although it's probably not as mainstream appreciated as it should be.

Some great films in there, but as somebody has already mentioned, not really many underrated in there.
The Full Monty probably qualifies too, has almost become forgotten in recent years.

Any of the Old Mother Riley films, all of which starred Arthur Lucan as the eponymous heroine.
My favourite is the one where he gets off his tits on coke on a train, and thinks he's lost his wife's handbag, only to discover it was hanging off his arm all along!
Or is that a different Lucan?
