As talented as he is, coupled with the fact I actually feel sorry for him and his personal circumstances, he is the last thing we need at the club right now.
If you watched the Sunderland documentary you probably saw how Jonny can actually drain the energy from a room. If he walked down Oxford Street I’m sure the Christmas lights would actually dim a little.
We need people with hope and determination.
His physical injuries are just the tip of the iceberg with Jonny and I fear for him when his career is over. I wish him the very best at Charlton as he deserves a good run. [Post edited 3 Jan 2019 8:17]

He’s just an introspective player who isn’t your typical ego-centric, lairy young lad. And a fantastically talented one at that, just someone who has been terribly unlucky with injury.
He’s easily one of the best players we’ve had here in the past 10 years. |  |

As ridiculous as us signing him would be, i'd still love to see him back here again. Playing in an advanced role in place of someone like Sears.. Or the advanced midfield role Nolan and Bishop have played lately would be great to see as he would instantly improve us..
But then he'd pick up a niggly injury, followed by another niggly injury and before you know it he'll have played about a game and a half of football in 20 matches and nowhere near fit or healthy enough to be back in the team.. |  | | |
