All hands on deck, or to be sent out again?

Good point. Was it classed as a youth loan or something so maybe that’s the workaround?

I'm not somewhere I can look it up, but IIRC you may be right about youth loans being less limited in that respect.

Without looking it up I think that only applies to non league? Which is why we seemed to send players there in recent seasons as it allowed us much more flexibility. Mainly as it could be a rolling one month agreement or recall them whenever we wanted. As far as I understand the EFL rules stop that from happening, were you cannot play for 2 EFL clubs within the same season. For Morris that would mean he either comes back to play for us or loaned back to FGR again this month... Or a loan in the National League [Post edited 3 Jan 2019 10:59]

Apparently it was FGR who terminated it!

Loaning him to a National League club seems the best option if it can be done.

I think that's the only option but the loan rules do seem to change with great regularity. Certainly Kieffer Moore played for two National League clubs before he joined us in 2016/17. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We didn't send players to non-league for any reason other than not being able to get them taken on by EFL clubs. ITFC would much rather they get experience as high up the pyramid as possible, but it has proved very difficult to get higher level teams interested and committed to giving real opportunities.

Think the FA can give dispensation if it is seen as a genuine case.
