I think Lambert just doesn't rate him.
To be honest, I've seen him play OK, but also utter garbage eg against Blackburn and QPR.
Appreciate he was on the left against QPR, but he was really poor at pretty basic stuff. |  |

Clearly not high on his list and could well be that he is viewed as one who can go on loan if someone else is signed in that area. | | | |

You could see him lagging a bit in those training videos put out when PL joined. Getting given the bib for finishing last, etc, and the coaches shouting: "JANOI!" every so often.

I think PL is probably looking to give Chambo a rest more than anything, he did take a heavy knock in a recent game. Might feel changing both centre-halves is a risk. JD evidently not a favourite though, despite PL apparently having rated him when they were at VIlla. | | | |

He seemed better suited to RB than CB. Interesting that PL quickly got rid of Jordan Graham after having him at Villa, he had Donacien at Villa too, is this going the same way? Really thought he'd start today, especially against his old side. Perhaps it is an injury or illness? | |
