For me he looks like a big strong centre forward who maybe is more emphasised upon linking others to play with him, please don't stick him out wide. Huddersfield are the only team to have stuck him out wide and he's scored 2 goals in 42.
But his career is blighted by a poor record. Games to goals ratio:

And besides, it's not all about goals. We're struggling to see games out that we lead - having a big man up top should help with that. |  |

He strikes me as a provider not an out and out striker, which is what we need for the likes of Jackson to actually show us what he could potentially be. The stat tell you he doesn't score much, but he's often played a fair few games - so he does a job. [Post edited 8 Jan 2019 9:43]

How about some positivity for a change?
I know a Huddersfield fan and both they and also a look at their forum ( there's a thread about him likely going to Preston earlier in the month) will tell you more about him then a stats page.
The Huddersfield fans like him, he's a bit of a cult hero after coming on as sub in extra time to set up the equaliser in the play off semi against Sheffield Wed when they went up.
He apparently makes difficult things look easy , has a bit of flair about him, but can also on occasions make simple things look hard ...
However and here's the big thing they don't want him to leave permanently, he contributed in the premier league last season for them, and as you say, has played virtually all his games there, out wide.
It also has to be remembered just how defensively Huddersfield play, as their sole aim was to stay up . |  | | |

His best record was for Union Berlin just before he joined Huddersfield - eight goals in 16 appearances which is a reasonable return; copy that form across a Championship season and it’d be 23 goals. But he did very little after moving to Yorkshire, maybe he needs a fresh start. | |
