I was born in 1992, and I was talking earlier to my dad about how I feel lucky to have some (albeit distant) memories of the 2000/01 season, which was the first season that I had a season ticket at PR.
Things like Wilnis bombing on the overlap to score against Man Utd, and Armstrong's header against Inter Milan the next season.
It's sh1t now and realistically we will never see the likes of that again will we?
I feel sorry for those younger than myself who don't at least have memories of the most recent good times.

That's a cheerful birthday post. But basically you're right, it's going to be rubbish from here onwards, probably for at least the next 40 years. Best we can hope for is a League Two promotion season. That's until a new fair football league based on regional conferences, salary caps and franchises finally emerges.
We'll do OK for a few years in the new system, but then one close season the Ipswich franchise will get moved to Nuneaton, and then that'll be that for football in Ipswich I'm afraid. |  | | |
