"His last season with us he was superb, commanding, reads the game brilliantly, full blooded tackles and great in the air. He's never been able to run but as long as he had a faster centre back with him it didn’t matter."

Mmmm...
Fast centre back?

It’s 90% West Ham round these parts and everyone I’ve spoke to about it has said he’s an excellent signing.

Most wish he was still with them. All say he is better than championship level for sure.

I detest these xxxxxxx fan view on xxxxx posts.

With a good wind, the view could be the view of somethingblue's or someone of equal ilk, standardly it's going to be Maysixth or someone of his ilk.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

When i posted he was signing a few days ago. I forgot to say how much he will help the younger players. Collins together with John Terry have been mentors to Declan Rice over the last 7-8 years and he is one of the best holding midfielders/centre halves in the Premiership now. Hopefully this will allow Chambers to go to right back. Spence was binned by us (West Ham) because he was sloppy at marking and cannot concentrate for long periods. Most Town highlights i've seen this year, a goal normally comes from a Spence F up. Fingers crossed this is now Lamberts Team from tomorrow and a start in the right direction.

When my wife screams at him to get back quicker to make a saving tackle, I'll just turn to her, shake my head, and say:

"Collins can't hurry, love "

Even if he may not be the quickest, he will still give everything for the team and Buster gut every match.

But Seriously, and please take this at Face Value, it will be good to see him on the pitch at PR, warming up. All the other players in their training kit, him in his match kit- No Jacket Required.

Could be the Genesis of something amazing.

I don't get it. "Money's too tight to mention" was by Simply Red, and you've only used a couple of words of the title.

I'm.wondering if this is why Wolfenden was brought back as well. West Ham mate reckons his ability to organise and command respect is second to none and he's a real winner and big character in the changing room. After my initial dismay at this signing I'm actually excited he's joined. Partnership with Chambers isn't going to be blessed with pace so will be interesting to see how we handle this.

I was wondering more about how Chambo would handle someone coming in and potentially being top dog - maybe it won't be an issue of course (it probably won't, as Chambo seems a top pro), but it'll be interesting to see how that dynamic will play out.

We may see Chambo back at RB.
