I can;t stand the subscription thing as it happens and would need it more or less constantly anyway. I think I've asked a silly question innit. Any thoughts on GIMP or Afinity Photo?

can anyone recommend a cheap, but ligit way of getting photoshop? on 13:46 - Jan 11 with 2984 views | Deano69 | can try this - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html?promoid=19S free, legit, but not supported as its an old version. they seem to suggest it wont run on current O/S but I am not so sure! **edit - looks like you might still need a serial number. I did have a site for older Photoshop products, again legit, not support but old Adobe version, will see if i can find it. [Post edited 11 Jan 2019 13:48]

can anyone recommend a cheap, but ligit way of getting photoshop? on 13:52 - Jan 11 with 2966 views | blue62 | Not an easy way these days, like we used to pass around the software packs and load on to several machines. I don't mind the subscription, at least you dont have to lay out a big chunk of cash to upgrade or buy another. If you are using it a lot then would a subscription not pay for itself?

If you can use GIMP, it is perfectly capable to do so. Personally I subscribe to Photoshop and claim it as a work expense (yes, i use it for more than stickman avatars) and actually do not mind doing so. Affinity photo? no clue

can anyone recommend a cheap, but ligit way of getting photoshop? on 13:56 - Jan 11 with 2954 views | Coastalblue | I don't know now, so actually I'm probably going to be b*gger all help I guess but I did used to use Gimp a lot several years ago, I also had PS on another machine. Back then Gimp did pretty much anything PS did just not always as intuitively or perhaps a tad slower, it used to be a very good product though.

Just being a tight arse really - seem to have so many outgoings for this or that. Then again wkj has just reminded me ( useless businessman) that this can be put as a cost. I think I'll try gimp (thanks coastal) and if its no good, just accept I face a life of Adobe servitude.

He's too young sadly! Bludy students. I spose one way to look at it would be as a discount on any course I might take. Cheers Mr.

I tried Gimp, its great for basic stuff any more than that and I struggled to get my head round it. I would just go here - https://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?utf8=%E2%9C%93&source=top-bar&locale=en&searc And get some dude in his bedroom to do what I needed at £4 a pop.
