Yesterday's team selection 13:45 - Jan 13 with 1979 views | Keaneish | What a damning indictment of Paul Hurst's transfer policy... Started: Chalobah and Pennington In the 18: Harrison and Nsiala Not in the squad: Jackson, Donacien, Nolan, Edwards Left the club: Edun and Graham Nsiala won't be in the 18 come end of Jan and Pennington will likely be benched. Jackson may get a look in every now and then but can anyone else see Donacien, Nolan or Edwards getting near the first 11 now?

Yesterday's team selection on 13:58 - Jan 13 with 1882 views | ColchesterBlue1985 | Donacien, Roberts, Nolan, Edwards, Harrison, Spence will be loaned out or sold before end of Jan. Nsiala may get a stay of execution as yesterday showed there could be times between now and the end of the season where he is needed. The squad will be weaker in numbers but better in quality.

We had a squad of 33 players compared with, for example, Norwich who had 25.

Yesterday's team selection on 14:55 - Jan 13 with 1643 views | Bluebell | Exactly what I said when I saw the team. The 2 who play are both from Premiership teams so must have the ability. Of all of Hurst’s other players the ones who I thought would make the step up were Jackson and Edwards. Edwards has been really disappointing in the last few games he has played. Jackson has the speed but not sure he has the talent.

Whilst it was logical that not all of Paul Hurst's Lower League Allstars would be good enough it should have been expected that some of them would be-I don't think that they are. I think we are now able to pick an 18 without needing to use any of them.

Im sad about Edwards as he really impressed on his debut and first few games (except his abysmal passing) - He just went down hill further and further.

Still think Harrison is going to be useful if played as part of a 2 up front - feeding off Quaner's hold up play that could be a good combination . Harrison is quick , works hard and has goals in him

Harrison will stay, Jackson is more likely to go out.

Yesterday aside he's been poor and I expect us to sign a proper right back in the window which will see him out of the team.

Does Norwich's 25 include players out on loan and injured for the rest of the season? I presume the 33 includes: Emmanuel, Woolfendon, Folami, Morris, Ward and Adeyemi. Add in that Donacien, Rowe and Roberts look unlikely to be anywhere close to the first team our effective squad is 24. That to me seems light considering most sides would look to have cover for every position and 2 reserve goalkeepers. I think Knudsen is likely to go and Lambert has already stated he will look to move some out on loan.

I am less underwhelmed by Harrison than the rest of them so I agree that just maybe he could make it at Championship level, you might be right.
