Would be a great signing.

Could only see a loan deal though, and does PL want another loan?

For what position? Scum fans seem to think he is something of a liability at full back and his best position is attacking midfield. I don't think we need anymore of those.

We need a specialist right back, not another utility gap filler. Not to say that Marshall isn't better than current options but the RB position is just getting ridiculous now.

Agree with this, very difficult to see how he's fit into Lambert's team.

Pennington is better at RB than shoehorning in an ex-midfielder. Unless a specialist RB is available he'll do a job there.

Think that one has drifted past us now.

RB Has been ridiculous for the better part of 10 years - we just cant seem to nail it down.

Not had anyone decent since David Wright.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

The best i can remember recently was Stearman, shame we never could make that happen. Currently at Sheffield United isn't he?

He was okay, but another centre back playing out of position. He is, not sure if he's playing as much now though?

Would like an out and out right back signed, Pennington is a centre back being accommodated at right back. He did a good job on Saturday, but when he is up against a quality winger who has pace think he'll get exposed and his limitations highlighted.

I believe it was 2008/09 we had David Wright and Liam Rosineior ( loan) since then centre backs and right wingers seem to have done a better job than any specialist right back we have signed.
